Technical

Dx -
2000 series is a digital
communication switching system available in a variety of configurations. The
system is based on Time Division Multiplexing (TDM), Pulse Coded Modulation
(PCM) switching technology. Advanced CMOS chips are used to ensure optimum
processor speed and minimum power utilization. It is a micro controller
based system with distributed processing. Each card in the system has a PTC
(Positive Temperature Coefficient) to ensure protection to the cards and
also to act as an auto reset table fuse. Each card in the system is provided
with an SMPS to convert 28V DC to its own operating & logic voltages. The
system has a combination of active and passive bus to ensure reliable
communication between the cards. All the cards are plug in type to ensure
ease of maintenance

The
Dx - 2000 Series incorporates advanced
technology, such as universal port and non-blocking architecture, which
ensures that the performance is second to none. The incorporation of VLSI
and general LSI technologies has greatly reduced the required numbers of
components resulting in a high level of reliability and compact size.
Further reliability and continuity are gained by the distributed processing
architecture, self-diagnostic routines, power on maintenance and optional
duplicated critical control packages. |
These systems are so designed that they provide a seamless migration from a
40-port system to 512 ports i.e. the systems can actually grow with the
growing needs of the organization. It is available in a module of various
sizes and these modules can be connected over E1 protocol to achieve a
transparent networking of up to 2000 ports.
